संक्षिप्त परिचय

Ramesh Malla is a central committee member of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre). He formerly served as the Central Chairman of the All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union (Revolutionary), a prominent student organization that played a significant role in Nepal’s student movement.
Malla was a key figure in supporting Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, the first Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, serving as his Private Secretary during both his second and third terms in office. Prior to that, he also held the position of Advisor to the Minister of Education, then led by Dinanath Sharma. In academia, Malla is a former Senate member of Tribhuvan University, Nepal’s oldest and largest university.
During his years in the student movement, he contributed to political discourse as an editor of influential publications such as Janasangram, Sangeen, and Yoddha. He is also the author of Chimek Yatra (2074 B.S.), a book reflecting his personal insights and experiences on Nepal’s neighborhood relations. As part of the Prime Minister’s official delegation, Malla has represented Nepal on several international visits, including to India, China, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates. He participated as a delegate in the United Nations Food Systems Summit 2023 in Italy and attended the COP28 international conference on climate change in the UAE.
Malla was actively involved in Nepal’s historic Maoist People’s War and the People’s Movement of 2005/06 (2062/63 B.S.), both of which were instrumental in the country’s political transformation. He has led numerous social and educational campaigns throughout his career. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Tribhuvan University and was born in Salyan, Nepal.
